| Unlike paraffin candles, which do not need followers, a properly fabricated beeswax candle needs a retainer to keep the pool of melted wax from spilling down the side of the candle. The candle follower, or burner, is designed for two purposes.The first is simply one of practicality, namely to keep hot molten wax from splattering on stands, carpet, or people. Secondly, they prolong the burning life of the candle investment by ensuring that all the wax is consumed. | |||||||||||||||||
